Potrero Hill is located on the east side of San Francisco and bounded by third street, 16th, cesar chavez streets and potrero avenue. Notable features of Potrero Hill include the Anchor Steam Brewery located on Mariposa Street, where visitors can take a one and half hour tour to see how beer is brewed and sample at the end of the tour. Some other notable places include Jackson Playground, McKinley Park, Mission Bay Golf Center, and Potrero Hill Recreation Center. What's more, Potrero Hill was also the neighborhood where the former Football star O.J. Simpson once lived.

The neighborhood also provides a lot of learning opportunities. The main campus of the California Culinary Academy is located at 350 Rhode Island Street with facilities including kitchens, class classrooms, a library, culinary laboratory and student restaurants. Performance and exhibit space SomArts Cultural Center is located on the border of Soma and Potrero Hill; it provides various classes such as drawing, dance, computers, and printmaking.
