Pacific Heights

Pacific Heights Overview:

The Pacific Heights neighborhood was first developed in the 1870s with many small Victorian homes built. The Pacific Heights defines the neighborhood as inside Presidio Avenue, Bush Street, Union Street and Van Ness Avenue. The neighborhood has two parks: Lafayette and Alta Plaza. Lower Pacific Heights refers to the region located south of California Street down to Post Street.

Point of Interests:

Alta Plaza Park: This hilltop park is located to the west of Fillmore Street and has tennis courts, city views and a playground.

Lafayette Park: A two-square-block park that is full of sunbathers and dog lovers. The tennis courts have more wind protection than those in Alta Plaza Park.

The Grove Fillmore: This neighborhood is abuzz with a combination of laptops, cell phones and cool music. Breakfast includes country baked eggs and huevos rancheros. This place also offers a great variety of sandwiches. In addition, the exotic herbal teas offered here is also worth trying.
